Common questions
My 40 time looks wrong
Our analysis reads your run from the video, so filming conditions matter. Record in landscape from the highest point in the bleachers, keep the phone steady, and make sure the full run and the yard lines are in frame. If a time still looks off, email us with the approximate date and time of the run and we'll take a look.
My video failed to process
Clips must be 60 seconds or shorter. Very dark footage, heavy camera shake, or a run that leaves the frame can also prevent analysis. Re-record if you can, and get in touch if it keeps happening.
I need to change my school, position, or graduating year
You can edit these from your profile in the app. If something is locked or looks wrong, email us and we'll correct it.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly from the Profile tab in the app. That removes your profile, runs, and uploaded video. You can also email contact@slants.ai and we'll process the request within 30 days.
Parents and guardians
If your child uses The 40, you can ask us at any time to review the personal data, videos, and metrics we hold for them, remove their profile or videos from public leaderboards, or delete their account and history entirely.
Email contact@slants.ai from an address we can verify, and tell us your child's name and the email on their account. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of rights.
Privacy and data requests
To access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to be removed from leaderboards, email contact@slants.ai. We process these within 30 days.

The app
The 40 is available on iPhone. Download it from the App Store. Keeping the app updated is the quickest fix for most recording and upload problems.
